Characterization of liquid nails and their use

Characterization of liquid nails and their use

In structure, liquid nails are completely different from ordinary steel. This is a completely evolutionary-new discovery, which is gaining relevance turnover every day. The term “liquid nails” came from the name of the brand Liquid Nails, which is translated and means liquid nails. This brand was first represented by Masso in 1968.

In fact, liquid nails are products from specialized glue, which has high strength. The glue is based on rubber or viscous polymer materials. Such glue contains a special filler, which is a fine -fractional substance. Thanks to this, it differs from the rest, capable of fastening all the necessary elements, while maintaining large loads.

Liquid nails are quite widely used. They are used to fasten structures made of drywall, wood, ceramic tiles, aluminum, cork panels, plastic and other things. Sometimes shower cabins, baths, plaster slots, gaps in the walls, window frames and doors, joints of various surfaces are sealed with liquid nails. But, unfortunately, there are options in which the action of liquid nails does not have proper power: raw and waterlogged places, wet wood, silicone surfaces.

The manufacture of liquid nails passes along two ways: the first is used in the first, and in the second glue based on water.

The first version of liquid nails is characterized by withstanding low temperatures and increased moisture. They also quickly dry out, fastening the elements. However, this type also has a drawback: a specific smell is distinguished.

The second water -containing option acts as acrylic water -based nails, and is characterized by complete safety in the process of application and environmental purity. But their use is limited by porous materials, and they cannot be used in moist places.

When buying liquid nails, pay attention to the information label, which describes in detail the scope of application, for which types of work and materials are suitable.

Liquid nails are a good alternative construction element, which effectively performs fasteners, withstanding very high loads, reaching 80 kilograms per square centimeter. In addition, in fire plan they are safe material.
