Stretch ceilings over the past 20 years have gained quite a lot of popularity, because they have a lot of advantages compared to traditional ceilings. If the latter need cosmetic repairs about once every five years, then suspended ceilings can serve without it for more than 15 years. They are easily mounted, have a huge selection of colors and textures, which allows you to implement any project design project. You can get lost in this variety of suspended ceilings, but if you take into account all the nuances, wishes and requirements, you can choose exactly the ceiling that is ideal for you and your room.

In fact, all ceilings are divided into two types – matte and glossy. The former create a perfectly flat surface without seams. This is achieved due to the fact that the basis of matte ceilings is saturated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), the canvas reaches a width of 5 meters. Matte stretch ceilings can be used in any room, including with negative temperatures – on a glazed balcony or in a garage. PVC is also used in the production of glossy stretch ceilings, but this is no longer impregnation, and PVC film is no more than 2 meters wide. The seam when using this type of ceilings is inevitable, but modern technologies allow you to make it invisible. Such ceilings can be installed only in rooms where the temperature does not drop below zero.

Both matte and glossy stretch ceilings are characterized by fire resistance and high moisture resistance. Note that stretch ceilings are able to withstand up to 100 liters of water per square meter, which, of course, protects you from leaks from the upper floors.

Matte stretch ceilings create a visual impression of a traditional whitewashed ceiling, but have such a wide variety of color scheme, which can be used in rooms of any style, both in classic and in modern style.

If you need to visually increase the height of the room, use glossy stretch ceilings. In addition, this type of ceiling will help to emphasize the individuality and style of the room, since they can be decorated with an ornament of any complexity, photography, reproduction and even the company logo if installed in the office.

Both matte and glossy stretch ceilings do not require complicated care: it is enough to have it, and with severe pollution, wash with water and any detergent.
